 SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 72 

   

 CONGRATULATING THE CLASS OF 2022 EAGLE SCOUTS FOR HAVING ATTAINED THE HIGHEST RANK ONE CAN EARN IN THE BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA. 

   

  WHEREAS, to earn the rank of Eagle Scout, a young person must earn Merit Badges in areas including First Aid, Citizenship in the Community, Citizenship in the Nation, Citizenship in the World, Communication, Personal Fitness, Emergency Preparedness/Lifesaving, Environmental Science/Sustainability, Personal Management, Camping, Swimming/Hiking/Cycling, Family Life, and Cooking; and   WHEREAS, this distinct honor requires fulfilling requirements in the areas of leadership, service, and outdoor preparedness, as well as advancing through the ranks of Scout, Tenderfoot, Second Class, First Class, Star, and Life; and   WHEREAS, this achievement carries with it a special significance both within scouting and beyond, as a Scout moves on to higher education, business or industry, and the world at large; and   WHEREAS, the following 80 Delawareans achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in 2022:   Devind J. Yarnall    BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the 152nd General Assembly of the State of Delaware, the House of Representatives concurring therein, that the class of 2022 Eagle Scouts is hereby extended congratulations for having attained the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America, and our best wishes in their future endeavors.   BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon passage, a suitably prepared copy of this resolution be presented to each Eagle Scout.
