2222 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 9

2424 Section 1. The Office of Insurance R egulation shall 11
2525 conduct a study to determine whether Broward County with regard 12
2626 to its current insurance market lacks a reasonable degree of 13
2727 competition such that the requirements of s. 627.351(6)(a)3.b. -14
2828 d., Florida Statutes, do not apply in the county. Th e office may 15
2929 study any other county similarly situated. Each study must 16
3030 consider whether a lack of competition has been found in any 17
3131 adjoining counties and whether the factors that led to any such 18
3232 finding apply in the studied county. The office shall submi t a 19
3333 report of its findings concerning Broward County to the 20
3434 Governor, the Chief Financial Officer, the President of the 21
3535 Senate, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives no later 22
3636 than September 1, 2022. The findings concerning any other county 23
3737 studied under this section shall be presented to the Governor, 24
