| 24 | 24 | | Section 1. The Office of Insurance R egulation shall 11 |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | conduct a study to determine whether Broward County with regard 12 |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | to its current insurance market lacks a reasonable degree of 13 |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | competition such that the requirements of s. 627.351(6)(a)3.b. -14 |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | d., Florida Statutes, do not apply in the county. Th e office may 15 |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | study any other county similarly situated. Each study must 16 |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | consider whether a lack of competition has been found in any 17 |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | adjoining counties and whether the factors that led to any such 18 |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | finding apply in the studied county. The office shall submi t a 19 |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | report of its findings concerning Broward County to the 20 |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | Governor, the Chief Financial Officer, the President of the 21 |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | Senate, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives no later 22 |

| 36 | 36 | | than September 1, 2022. The findings concerning any other county 23 |

| 37 | 37 | | studied under this section shall be presented to the Governor, 24 |
