2424 WHEREAS, the Cuban government arbitrarily searched homes 11
2525 and arrested and killed its citizens, torturing and silencing 12

2727 WHEREAS, thousands of Cubans have taken to the streets 14
2828 across the country in momentous demonstrations prote sting 15
2929 longstanding restrictions on rights, and 16
3030 WHEREAS, the Cuban government has partaken in human 17
3131 trafficking, child labor, indoctrination, harboring terrorists, 18
3232 and terrorist activities, and 19
3333 WHEREAS, the Cuban government has diplomatic relations with 20
3434 authoritarian regimes, such as Venezuela, China, Russia, and 21
3535 Nicaragua, and is using their support to continue to suppress 22
