2424 WHEREAS, menstrual hygiene products are a health care 11
2525 necessity and are not items that can be foregone or substituted 12

2727 WHEREAS, access to menstrual hygiene products is a serious 14
2828 and ongoing need in this state, and 15
2929 WHEREAS, when students do not have access to affordable 16
3030 menstrual hygiene products, they may miss multiple days of 17

3232 WHEREAS, when students have access to quality menstrual 19
3333 hygiene products, they are able to continue with their daily 20

3636 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 23

3838 Section 1. This act may be cited as the "Learning with 25

5252 Section 2. Section 1006.064, Florida Statutes, is created 27

5555 (1) As used in this section, the term "menstrual hygiene 30
5656 products" means tampons and sanitary napkins for use in 31
5757 connection with the menstrual cycle. 32
5858 (2) A school district shall make menstrual hygiene 33
5959 products available, at no charge, in each school nurse's office 34
6060 or other physical school facility for health services. 35
6161 (3) This section applies to charter schools pursuant to s. 36
6262 1002.33(16)(a)5. 37
6363 Section 3. This act shall take effect July 1, 2022. 38
