2424 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 11

2626 Section 1. Paragraph (a) of subsection (2) of section 13
2727 322.08, Florida Statutes, is amended to read: 14

278278 322.14 Licenses issued to drivers. — 181
279279 (1)(a) The department shall, upon successful completion of 182
280280 all required examinations and payment of the required fee, issue 183
281281 to every qualified applicant a printed driver licens e that must 184
282282 bear a color photograph or digital image of the licensee; the 185
283283 name of the state; a distinguishing number assigned to the 186
284284 licensee; and the licensee's full name, date of birth, and 187
285285 residence address; a brief description of the licensee, 188
286286 including, but not limited to, the licensee's gender designation 189
287287 and height; and the dates of issuance and expiration of the 190
288288 license. A space shall be provided upon which the licensee shall 191
289289 affix his or her usual signature. A license is invalid until it 192
290290 has been signed by the licensee except that the signature of the 193
291291 licensee is not required if it appears thereon in facsimile or 194
292292 if the licensee is not present within the state at the time of 195
293293 issuance. 196
294294 Section 7. Paragraphs (a) and (b) of subsection (1) of 197
295295 section 322.17, Florida Statutes, are amended to read: 198

311311 destroyed, the person to whom the permit or license same was 202
312312 issued may, upon payment of the appropriate fee pursuant to s. 203
313313 322.21, obtain a replacement upon furnishing proof satisfactory 204
314314 to the department that such permit or license has been lost or 205
315315 destroyed, and further furnishing the full nam e, date of birth, 206
316316 gender designation sex, residence and mailing address, proof of 207
317317 birth satisfactory to the department, and proof of identity 208
318318 satisfactory to the department. 209
319319 (b) In the event that an instruction permit or driver 210
320320 license issued under the provisions of this chapter is stolen, 211
321321 the person to whom the permit or license same was issued may, at 212
322322 no charge, obtain a replacement upon furnishing proof 213
323323 satisfactory to the department that such permit or license was 214
324324 stolen and further furnishing the ful l name, date of birth, 215
325325 gender designation sex, residence and mailing address, proof of 216
326326 birth satisfactory to the department, and proof of identity 217
327327 satisfactory to the department. 218
328328 Section 8. This act shall take effect July 1, 2022. 219
