2424 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the St ate of Florida: 11

2626 Section 1. Subsections (1) and (6) of section 471.011, 13
2727 Florida Statutes, are amended to read: 14
2828 471.011 Fees.— 15
2929 (1) The board by rule may establish fees to be paid for 16
3030 applications, examination, reexamination, licensing and renewal, 17
3131 inactive status application and reactivation of inactive 18
3232 licenses, and recordmaking and recordkeeping. The board may also 19
3333 establish by rule a delinquency fee. The board shall establish 20
3434 fees that are adequate to ensure the continued operation of the 21
3535 board. Fees shall be based on department estimates of the 22
3636 revenue required to implement this chapter and the provisions of 23
3737 law with respect to the regulation of engineers and professional 24
3838 structural engineers . 25

5151 (6) The fee for a temporary registration or certific ate to 26

5858 471.015 Licensure.— 33
5959 (3)(a) The management corporation shall issue a 34
6060 professional structural engineer license to any applicant whom 35
6161 the board certifies as qualified to practice professional 36
6262 structural engineering and who meets all of the following 37
6363 requirements: 38
6464 1. Is licensed under this chapter as an engineer or is 39
6565 qualified for licensure as an engineer. 40
6666 2. Submits an application in the format prescribed by the 41
6767 board. 42
6868 3. Provides satisfactory evidence of good moral charac ter, 43
6969 as defined by the board. 44
7070 4. Provides a record of 4 years of active structural 45
7171 engineering experience, as defined by the board, under the 46
7272 supervision of a licensed professional engineer. 47
7373 5. Has successfully passed the 16 -hour National Council of 48
7474 Examiners for Engineering and Surveying Structural Engineering 49

8888 6. Pays a fee established by the board under s. 471.011. 51
8989 Section 3. This act shall take effect on the same date 52
9090 that HB 375 or similar legislation takes effect , if such 53
9191 legislation is adopted in the same legislative session or an 54
9292 extension thereof and becomes a law. 55
