2525 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 12

2727 Section 1. Section 552.40, Florida Statutes, is repealed. 14
2828 Section 2. Section 552.42, Florida Statutes, is repealed. 15
2929 Section 3. Subsectio n (2) of section 552.38, Florida 16
3030 Statutes, is amended to read: 17
3131 552.38 Security requirement. — 18
3232 (2) The bond or letter of credit required under subsection 19
3333 (1) must be in an amount not less than $100,000 , notwithstanding 20
3434 an award made by an administrative law judge under s. 552.40(7) . 21
3535 In the case of a multiple licenseholder or multiple 22
3636 permitholder, a single bond in the aggregate amount of not less 23
3737 than $100,000 may be provided as security for the individual 24

5252 under this chapter, and if renewal of the license or permit is 27
5353 not sought, the bond required under this section may be released 28
5454 upon the expiration of the license or permit or 181 days after 29
5555 the final use of explosives under the license, whichever occurs 30
5656 later, if the bond to be released is not security for other 31

5858 Section 4. This act shall take effect July 1, 2022. 33
