An act relating to a review under the Open Government 2
Sunset Review Act; amending s. 1004.055, F.S., which 3
provides an exemption from public records requirements 4
for certain records held by a state university or 5
Florida College System institution which identify 6
detection, investigation, or response practices for 7
information technology security incidents and for 8
certain portions of risk assessments, evaluations, 9
audits, and other reports of a university's or 10
institution's information technology security program 11
and an exemption from public meeting requirements for 12
certain portions of meetings held by a university or 13
institution; removing the scheduled repeal of the 14
exemption; providing an effective date. 15

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 17

Section 1. Subsection (5) of section 1004.055, Florida 19
Statutes, is amended to read: 20
1004.055 Security of data and information technology in 21
state postsecondary education institutions. — 22
(5) This section is subject to the Open Government Sunset 23
Review Act in accordance with s. 119.15 and shall stand repealed 24
on October 2, 2022, unless reviewed and saved from repeal 25

through reenactment by the Legisl ature. 26
Section 2. This act shall take effect October 1, 2022. 27
