A resolution recognizing the 2021 Florida State 2 
University Women's Soccer Team. 3 
 4 
 WHEREAS, the 2021 Florida State University Women's Soccer 5 
Team defeated Brigham Young University in a shootout to win the 6 
2021 National Collegiate Athletic Association's (NCAA) Division 7 
1 National Championship, and 8 
 WHEREAS, Florida State held Brigham Young, whose offense 9 
averaged 3.5 goals per game, scoreless through 110 minutes of 10 
play and did not allow a single goal throughout the NCAA 11 
tournament, and 12 
 WHEREAS, the Seminoles have appeared in 12 College Cups, 13 
eight of which were in the last 11 years, and the 2021 NCAA 14 
tournament is Florida State University's 22nd consecutive 15 
tournament, making it one of eight schools of all time at the 16 
Division 1 level to post a streak of at least 20 consecutive 17 
NCAA tournament appearances, and 18 
 WHEREAS, Florida State's record of 71 -18-5 in the NCAA 19 
tournament has earned the team a 0.782 winning perce ntage, the 20 
second-best of all time, and 21 
 WHEREAS, the Seminoles now have the second -most NCAA titles 22 
in the history of women's soccer, and Head Coach Mark Krikorian 23 
is the fifth-winningest active college coach in the NCAA, NOW, 24

Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of 27 
Florida: 28

 That the 2021 Florida State University Women's Soccer Team 30 
is recognized and congratulated for capturing the 2021 NCAA 31 
National Championship after a remarkable season. 32 
 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED th at a copy of this resolution be 33 
presented to Florida State University President Richard 34 
McCullough, Director of Athletics Michael Alford, Head Coach 35 
Mark Krikorian, and each member of the Florida State University 36 
women's soccer team as a tangible token of the sentiments 37 
expressed herein. 38
