| 25 | 25 | | (a) "Telehealth" means the use of synchronous or 12 |

| 26 | 26 | | asynchronous telecommunications technology by a telehealth 13 |

| 27 | 27 | | provider to provide health care services, including, but not 14 |

| 28 | 28 | | limited to, assessment, diagnosis, consultation, treatment, and 15 |

| 29 | 29 | | monitoring of a patient; transfer of medical data; patient and 16 |

| 30 | 30 | | professional health-related education; public health services; 17 |

| 31 | 31 | | and health administration. The term does not include audio-only 18 |

| 32 | 32 | | telephone calls, e-mail messages, or facsimile transmissions. 19 |
