2525 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 12

2727 Section 1. Subsection (2) of section 1013.13, Florida 14
2828 Statutes, is renumbered as subsec tion (3), and a new subsection 15
2929 (2) is added to that section, to read: 16
3030 1013.13 Coordination of school safety information; 17
3131 construction design documents. — 18
3232 (2) In order to facilitate efficient emergency responses, 19
3333 the School Mapping Data Grant Program is created within the 20
3434 Department of Education. Each school district, in consultation 21
3535 with local law enforcement and public safety agencies, may apply 22
3636 to receive funds from the program to provide school mapping data 23
3737 for each public school, including charter sc hools, in the 24
3838 district. The school district shall use the funds to satisfy all 25

5252 procuring a vendor to provide such data. The entity producing 27
5353 the data is responsible for providing the data to th e school 28
5454 district and local law enforcement and public safety agencies 29
5555 for use in response to emergencies and for conducting drills 30
5656 required under s. 1006.07(4). 31
5757 (a) School mapping data must be provided in an electronic 32
5858 or a digital format to assist firs t responders in responding to 33
5959 emergencies at schools. 34
6060 (b) The school mapping data provided must: 35
6161 1. Be compatible with software platforms used by local, 36
6262 state, and federal public safety agencies that provide emergency 37
6363 services to the specific school fo r which the data is provided 38
6464 without requiring such agencies to purchase additional software 39
6565 or requiring a fee to view or access the data. 40
6666 2. Be compatible with security software platforms in use 41
6767 by the specific school for which the data is provided wit hout 42
6868 requiring the local law enforcement agencies or school districts 43
6969 to purchase additional software or requiring a fee to view or 44
7070 access the data. 45
7171 3. Be in a printable format and, if requested in addition 46
7272 to paragraph (a), be in a digital file format t hat can be 47
7373 integrated into interactive mobile platforms in use. 48
7474 4. Be verified for accuracy by a walk -through of school 49

103103 Section 3. This act shall take effect July 1, 2023. 66
