9494 Section 1. This act may be cited as the "Pathway for 57
9595 Military Combat Medics Act." 58
9696 Section 2. Paragraph (a) of subsection (2) of section 59
9797 464.0195, Florida Statutes, is amended to read: 60
9898 464.0195 Florida Center for Nursing; goals. — 61
9999 (2) The primary goals for the center shall be to: 62
100100 (a) Develop a strategic statewide plan for nursing 63
101101 manpower in this state by: 64
102102 1. Conducting a statistically valid biennial data -driven 65
103103 gap analysis of the supply and demand of the health care 66
104104 workforce. Demand must align with the Labor Market Estimating 67
105105 Conference created in s. 216.136. The center shall: 68
106106 a. Establish and maintain a database on nursing supply and 69
107107 demand in the state, to include current supply and demand. 70
108108 b. Analyze the current and future supply and demand in the 71
109109 state and the impact of this state's participation in the Nurse 72
110110 Licensure Compact under s. 464.0095. 73
111111 2. Developing recommendations to increase nurse faculty 74

170170 1. The composition of the workgroup and the provision of 109
171171 administrative support to the workgroup must be as provided in 110
172172 paragraphs (2)(a) and (b). The workgroup shall ensu re that the 111
173173 award of postsecondary credit or career education clock hours 112
174174 does not impair an accredited program's ability to comply with 113
175175 the requirements identified in s. 464.019. 114
176176 2. The workgroup shall provide its recommendations 115
177177 regarding the process f or awarding postsecondary credit or 116
178178 career education clock hours to the Board of Governors and the 117
179179 State Board of Education by December 1, 2023, for approval at 118
180180 the next meeting of each board to allow for adequate public 119
181181 notice. 120
182182 3.a. Upon approval of the workgroup's recommendations by 121
183183 the Board of Governors and the State Board of Education, the 122
184184 Articulation Coordinating Committee shall facilitate the review 123

211211 approved by the Articulation Coordinating Committee at their 138
212212 next respective meetings. For the purpose of statewide 139
213213 application, postsecondary course equivalencies and the minimum 140
214214 postsecondary credit or career education clock hours that must 141
215215 be awarded in an accredited p rogram for such military training 142
216216 and education must be delineated by the State Board of Education 143
217217 and the Board of Governors in the statewide articulation 144
218218 agreement required by s. 1007.23(1). 145
219219 4. State universities, Florida College System 146
220220 institutions, and career centers shall award postsecondary 147
221221 credit or career education clock hours for such military 148
222222 training and education based on the list adopted pursuant to 149
