A memorial to the Congress of the United States, 2
urging Congress to recognize the need to establish a 3
new zip code for the City of Parkland that only covers 4
the boundaries of the City of Parkland. 5

WHEREAS, the City of Parkland is a municipality located in 7
Broward County, with a population of approximately 35,265 and a 8
land area of approximately 12 square miles, and 9
WHEREAS, establishing a new zip code for t he City of 10
Parkland that only covers the boundaries of the City of Parkland 11
would provide numerous benefits to its residents, including 12
lowering insurance rates; fixing address -related issues with 13
elections, censuses, and United States Postal Service deliv ery; 14
and branding and economic development, NOW, THEREFORE, 15

Be It Resolved by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 17

That the Congress of the United States is urged to 19
recognize the need to establish a new zip code for the City of 20
Parkland that only covers the boundaries of the City of 21
Parkland. 22
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of State dispatch 23
copies of this memorial to the President of the United States, 24
to the President of the United States Senate, to the Speaker of 25
