55 | 55 | | (a) "Account holder" means a person who is legally 30 |

56 | 56 | | responsible and who enters into an agreement with a wireless 31 |

57 | 57 | | telephone service provider for the purchase of a wireless 32 |

58 | 58 | | telephone. 33 |

59 | 59 | | (b) "Automatic location identification" means the 34 |
---|
60 | 60 | | automatic display at the Public Safety Answering Point of the 35 |
---|
61 | 61 | | caller's mobile telephone number, the address or location of the 36 |
---|
62 | 62 | | wireless telephone, and supplementary emergency services 37 |
---|
63 | 63 | | information. 38 |
---|
64 | 64 | | (c) "Emergency" means a situation, physical condition, or 39 |
---|
65 | 65 | | method of operation which presents imminent danger of death or 40 |
---|
66 | 66 | | serious physical or mental harm to a person. 41 |
---|
67 | 67 | | (d) "Family or household member" means spouses; former 42 |
---|
68 | 68 | | spouses; persons related by blood or marriage; persons who are 43 |
---|
69 | 69 | | presently residing together as if a family or who have resided 44 |
---|
70 | 70 | | together in the past as if a family; and persons who are parents 45 |
---|
71 | 71 | | of a child in common regardless of whether they have been 46 |
---|

93 | 93 | | (2) In the event of an actual or perceived emergency, a 56 |
---|
94 | 94 | | wireless provider shall, immediately upon the request of an 57 |
---|
95 | 95 | | account holder, provide automatic location identification of any 58 |
---|
96 | 96 | | of the account holder's wireless telephones on their account. 59 |
---|
97 | 97 | | (3) Automatic location identification services shall be 60 |
---|
98 | 98 | | provided through a unique an d well-advertised emergency number 61 |
---|
99 | 99 | | created by the wireless services provider. There shall be no 62 |
---|
100 | 100 | | wait times for persons who call the emergency number and the 63 |
---|
101 | 101 | | account holder shall not be placed on hold at any time. 64 |
---|
102 | 102 | | (4) Any automatic location identification information 65 |
---|
103 | 103 | | provided by the wireless provider shall be verbally provided and 66 |
---|
104 | 104 | | graphically transmitted to the account holder's wireless 67 |
---|
105 | 105 | | telephone he or she is calling from, regardless of whether the 68 |
---|
106 | 106 | | automatic location identification service has been activat ed or 69 |
---|
107 | 107 | | deactivated on the wireless telephone, except as provided in 70 |
---|
108 | 108 | | section (5). 71 |
---|
109 | 109 | | (5) A family or household member of an account holder who 72 |
---|
110 | 110 | | uses the account holder's wireless telephone may contact the 73 |
---|
111 | 111 | | wireless provider and request a temporary block, not to exceed 74 |
