58 | 58 | | Congress to assume a portion of the navigation project costs and 33 |

59 | 59 | | duties. Active federal navigation projects are those 34 |
---|
60 | 60 | | congressionally approved projects which are being performed by 35 |
---|
61 | 61 | | the United States Army Corps of Engineers or maintained by the 36 |
---|
62 | 62 | | local sponsors. 37 |

63 | 63 | | (f) The Department of Environmental Protection shall 38 |
---|
64 | 64 | | approve reclamation or restoration activities on sovereignty 39 |
---|
65 | 65 | | submerged lands involving the deposit of fill material below the 40 |
---|
66 | 66 | | ordinary high-water line or mean high -water line if the fill 41 |
---|
67 | 67 | | material is not actual sediment. The reclamation or restoration 42 |
---|
68 | 68 | | activities may use innovative technologies for fill material, 43 |
---|
69 | 69 | | which may include bonded molecules, such as alum or lanthanum -44 |
---|
70 | 70 | | based technologies. 45 |
---|
71 | 71 | | Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law. 46 |
