| 20 | 20 | | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 9 |

| 22 | 22 | | Section 1. Notwithstanding ss. 791.001 and 791.08, Florida 11 |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Statutes, the sale and use of fireworks within the Town of 12 |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Southwest Ranches may be prohibited by the Town on all days of 13 |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | the year except for the following: 14 |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | (1) Supervised public displays within the jurisdictional 15 |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | boundaries of the Town of Southwest Ranches where such displays 16 |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | are handled by a competent operator to be approved by the chiefs 17 |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | of the police and fire departments of the Town of Southwest 18 |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | Ranches, and shall be of a character, and so located, 19 |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | discharged, or fired, as in the opinion of the chiefs, that will 20 |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | not be hazardous to property, and will not impact or endanger 21 |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | any person, farm, or farm animal. Application for permits shall 22 |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | be made to the Town of Southwest Ranches in writing at least 15 23 |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | days in advance of the date of the display. After such privilege 24 |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | shall have been granted, sales, possession, use, and 25 |
