2626 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 13

2828 Section 1. Section 501.2042, Florida Statutes, is created 15
2929 to read: 16
3030 501.2042 Unlawful acts and practices by real property 17
3131 listing platforms.— 18
3232 (1) As used in this section, the term: 19
3333 (a) "Buyer's property tax estimate" means a reasonable 20
3434 estimate of ad valorem taxes for a tax year beginning January 1 21
3535 of the year after the property was purchased ba sed on the asking 22
3636 or listed price with and without the application of the 23
3737 homestead exemption under s. 196.031. 24
3838 (b) "Real property listing platform" means a website, web 25

5252 allows a member of the p ublic to view listings for residential 27
5353 property that is for sale. 28
5454 (2) A listing for residential property displayed on a real 29
5555 property listing platform must include: 30
5656 (a) The buyer's property tax estimate. The buyer's 31
5757 property tax estimate must include l anguage explaining that the 32
5858 estimate does not include all tax benefits for which the buyer 33
5959 may qualify or any non -ad valorem assessments. 34
6060 (b) A link to the website of the property appraiser for 35
6161 the county in which the residential property is located. 36
6262 (3)(a) The Department of Revenue shall develop a formula 37
6363 for real property listing platforms to use to comply with this 38
6464 section. 39
6565 (b) Annually, by a date set by the Department of Revenue, 40
6666 each property appraiser must provide the Department of Revenue 41
6767 with information needed to calculate the buyer's property tax 42
6868 estimate, including, but not limited to, the county name, the 43
6969 tax district code, and the most current summary school millage 44
7070 rate and summary millage rate for all other applicable taxing 45
7171 authorities. 46
7272 (c) On or before December 15 of each year, the Department 47
7373 of Revenue must publish, on its website, the formula developed 48
7474 under paragraph (a) and information needed to calculate the 49
7575 buyer's property tax estimate. 50

8888 (4) A residential property listing plat form's use of the 51
