2424 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 11

2626 Section 1. Subsection (4) is added to section 83.46, 13
2727 Florida Statutes, to read: 14
2828 83.46 Rent; duration of tenancies. — 15
2929 (4) A landlord of a community designed for adults aged 55 16
3030 or older may not increase the rent of a dwelling unit m ore than 17
3131 12 percent of the initial rental fee over a 5 -year period and a 18
3232 rent increase may not exceed 55 percent of the average fixed 19
