2323 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 10

2525 Section 1. Subsections ( 5) and (6) of section 83.56, 12
2626 Florida Statutes, are renumbered as subsections (6) and (7), 13
2727 respectively, and a new subsection (5) is added to that section, 14
2828 to read: 15
2929 83.56 Termination of rental agreement. — 16
3030 (5) Notwithstanding any other law to the contrar y, if the 17
3131 landlord knows or reasonably should know that the tenant is 18
3232 pregnant or there are children under 18 years of age living in 19
3333 the dwelling unit, the landlord must provide the tenant at least 20
3434 3 months after delivery of a written notice under subsecti on (2) 21
3535 or subsection (3) to vacate the premises before bringing an 22
3636 action for possession of the dwelling unit under s. 83.59. 23
3737 Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2023. 24
