During the 2022 Regular Legislative Session, the Legislature passed CS/SB 1048 (ch. 2022-16, L.O.F.), which among other things, directed the Division of Law Revision and Information of the Office of Legislative Services to prepare a reviser’s bill to change the term “Next Generation Sunshine State Standards” in Florida Statutes with the phrase “state academic standards.” The bill makes the conforming changes directed by CS/SB 1048. The bill has no fiscal impact. The bill was approved by the Governor on March 24, 2023, ch. 2023-13, L.O.F., and will become effective on the 60th day after adjournment sine die, except as otherwise provided.
