2525 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 12

2727 Section 1. Subsection (3) is added to section 166.0213, 14
2828 Florida Statutes, to read: 15
2929 166.0213 Governing body meetings. — 16
3030 (3)(a) The governing body of a municipality ma y convene 17
3131 meetings and conduct official business via teleconferencing or 18
3232 other technological means as long as such meetings meet all of 19
3333 the requirements for public notice, public access, and public 20
3434 participation. A governing body may not convene meetings v ia 21
3535 teleconferencing or other technological means more than two 22
3636 times per calendar year. Meetings that include formal action on 23
3737 ordinances or are quasi -judicial hearings may not be conducted 24
3838 via teleconferencing or other technological means. 25

5151 (b) The limitations placed on meetings conducted via 26
5252 teleconferencing or other technological means under paragraph 27
5353 (a) may be suspended upon the declaration of a state of 28
5454 emergency issued by the Governor pursuant to chapter 252. 29
5555 Section 2. This act shall take effec t July 1, 2024. 30
