1414 A bill to be entitled 1
15-An act relating to unlawful possession of firearms or 2
16-weapons by a person adjudicated delinquent; amending 3
17-s. 790.23, F.S.; providing that a person must have 4
18-been adjudicated delinquent for an action committed as 5
19-a juvenile to cause the person to lose the right to 6
20-possess a firearm for a specified period; providing an 7
21-effective date. 8

23-Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 10

25- Section 1. Paragraphs (b) and (d) of subsection (1) of 12
26-section 790.23, Florida Statutes, are amended to read: 13
27- 790.23 Felons and delinquents; possession of firearms, 14
28-ammunition, or electric weapons or devices unlawful. — 15
29- (1) It is unlawful for any person to own or to have in his 16
30-or her care, custody, possession, or control any firearm, 17
31-ammunition, or electric weapon or device, or to carry a 18
32-concealed weapon, including a tear gas gun or chemical weapon or 19
33-device, if that person has been: 20
34- (b) Adjudicated delinquent Found, in the courts of this 21
35-state, for committing to have committed a delinquent act that 22
36-would be a felony if committed by an adult and such person is 23
37-under 24 years of age; 24
38- (d) Adjudicated delinquent Found to have committed a 25

51-delinquent act in another state, territory, or country for 26
