Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 8

Section 1. Section 402.3029, Florida Statutes, is created 10
to read: 11
402.3029 Notification of nearby school incidents. —If a 12
school is placed under lockdown or is alerted to an issue of 13
school safety, the law enforcement agency with primary 14
jurisdiction over the school shall notify any child care 15
facility in the affected vicinity of the school of the lockdown 16
or alert and recommend an y appropriate measures to be taken by 17
the child care facility. 18
Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2024. 19
