Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 8

Section 1. Section 15.0352, Florida Statutes, is created 10
to read: 11
15.0352 Official state bird. —The American flamingo 12
(Phoenicopterus ruber) is designated as the official Florida 13
state bird. 14
Section 2. The designation of the American flamingo as the 15
official Florida state bird by s. 15.0352, Florida Statutes, 16
supersedes the designation of the mockingbird as the Florida 17
state bird by Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 3, adopted during 18
the 1927 Regular Session. 19
Section 3. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law. 20
