22	22	Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 9

24	24	Section 1. Paragraph (a) of subsection (3) of s ection 11
25	25	560.502, Florida Statutes, as created by HB 977, 2024 Regular 12
26	26	Session, is amended, paragraph (c) is added to subsection (1), 13
27	27	and paragraphs (c) and (d) are added to subsection (4) of that 14
28	28	section, to read: 15
29	29	560.502 Virtual currency kiosk business r egistration.— 16
30	30	(1) To conduct business as a virtual currency kiosk 17
31	31	business, a person or entity must register with the office as a 18
32	32	virtual currency kiosk business by submitting all of the 19
33	33	following: 20
34	34	(c) A nonrefundable registration fee equal to the lice nse 21
35	35	application fee in s. 560.143(1)(b). 22
36	36	(3)(a) Registrations are to be renewed annually by 23
37	37	December 31 of the year of expiration. There shall be no 24
38	38	proration of the fee for any registration. To renew such 25

51	51	registration, the registrant must submit to the office all of 26
52	52	the following: 27
53	53	1. The information required in subsection (2), or an 28
54	54	attestation stating that all the information remains the same as 29
55	55	the prior year. 30
56	56	2. Upon request, evidence that the registrant has been 31
57	57	operating in compliance with this part, as the commission may 32
58	58	require by rule, including, but not limited to: 33
59	59	a. Current disclosures presented to customers during the 34
60	60	transaction process. 35
61	61	b. Current use of blockchain analytics to prevent 36
62	62	transfers to wallet addresses linked to known cr iminal activity. 37
63	63	3. A nonrefundable registration renewal fee equal to the 38
64	64	license renewal fee in s. 560.143(2)(b). 39
65	65	(4) A virtual currency kiosk business that does not renew 40
66	66	its registration by December 31 of the year of expiration shall 41
67	67	become inactive. A virtual currency kiosk business may not 42
68	68	conduct business while its registration is inactive. The virtual 43
69	69	currency kiosk business may renew its inactive registration 44
70	70	within 60 days after the first day its registration becomes 45
71	71	inactive by submitting all of the following: 46
72	72	(c) A nonrefundable late registration renewal fee equal to 47
73	73	the late license renewal fee in s. 560.143(3)(b). 48
74	74	(d) A nonrefundable registration renewal fee equal to the 49
75	75	license renewal fee in s. 560.143(2)(b). 50

88	88	Section 2. This act shall take effect on the same date 51
89	89	that HB 977 or similar legislation takes effect , if such 52
90	90	legislation is adopted in the same legislative session or an 53
91	91	extension thereof and becomes a law. 54
