2222 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 9

2424 Section 1. Paragraph (a) of subsection (3) of s ection 11
2525 560.502, Florida Statutes, as created by HB 977, 2024 Regular 12
2626 Session, is amended, paragraph (c) is added to subsection (1), 13
2727 and paragraphs (c) and (d) are added to subsection (4) of that 14
2828 section, to read: 15
2929 560.502 Virtual currency kiosk business r egistration.— 16
3030 (1) To conduct business as a virtual currency kiosk 17
3131 business, a person or entity must register with the office as a 18
3232 virtual currency kiosk business by submitting all of the 19
3333 following: 20
3434 (c) A nonrefundable registration fee equal to the lice nse 21
3535 application fee in s. 560.143(1)(b). 22
3636 (3)(a) Registrations are to be renewed annually by 23
3737 December 31 of the year of expiration. There shall be no 24
3838 proration of the fee for any registration. To renew such 25

5151 registration, the registrant must submit to the office all of 26

5353 1. The information required in subsection (2), or an 28
5454 attestation stating that all the information remains the same as 29
5555 the prior year. 30
5656 2. Upon request, evidence that the registrant has been 31
5757 operating in compliance with this part, as the commission may 32
5858 require by rule, including, but not limited to: 33
5959 a. Current disclosures presented to customers during the 34
6060 transaction process. 35
6161 b. Current use of blockchain analytics to prevent 36
6262 transfers to wallet addresses linked to known cr iminal activity. 37
6363 3. A nonrefundable registration renewal fee equal to the 38
6464 license renewal fee in s. 560.143(2)(b). 39
6565 (4) A virtual currency kiosk business that does not renew 40
6666 its registration by December 31 of the year of expiration shall 41
6767 become inactive. A virtual currency kiosk business may not 42
6868 conduct business while its registration is inactive. The virtual 43
6969 currency kiosk business may renew its inactive registration 44
7070 within 60 days after the first day its registration becomes 45
7171 inactive by submitting all of the following: 46
7272 (c) A nonrefundable late registration renewal fee equal to 47
7373 the late license renewal fee in s. 560.143(3)(b). 48
7474 (d) A nonrefundable registration renewal fee equal to the 49

8888 Section 2. This act shall take effect on the same date 51
8989 that HB 977 or similar legislation takes effect , if such 52
9090 legislation is adopted in the same legislative session or an 53
9191 extension thereof and becomes a law. 54
