2020 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 7

2222 Section 1. Paragraph (e) of subsection (3) of section 9
2323 1002.351, Florida Statutes, is amended to read: 10
2424 1002.351 The Florida School for Competitive Academics. — 11
2525 (3) BOARD OF TRUSTEES. — 12
2626 (e) The board of trustees has the full power and authority 13
2727 to: 14
2828 1. Adopt rules pursuant to ss. 120.536(1) and 120.54 to 15
2929 implement provisions of law relating to ope ration of the Florida 16
3030 School for Competitive Academics. Such rules must be submitted 17
3131 to the State Board of Education for approval or disapproval. 18
3232 After a rule is approved by the State Board of Education, the 19
3333 rule must be filed immediately with the Departme nt of State. The 20
3434 board of trustees shall act at all times in conjunction with the 21
3535 rules of the State Board of Education. 22
3636 2. Appoint a principal, administrators, teachers, and 23
3737 other employees. 24
