Subsection (2) of section 163.3175, Florida 13 Statutes, is amended to read: 14 163.3175 Legislative findings on compatibility of 15 development with military installations; exchange of information 16 between local governments and military installations and 17 ranges.— 18 (2) Certain major military installations and ranges, due 19 to their mission and activities, have a greater potential for 20 experiencing compatibility and coordination issues than others. 21 Consequently, this section and the provisions in s. 22 163.3177(6)(a), relating to compatibility of land development 23 with military installations, apply to specific affected local 24 governments in proximity to and in association with specific 25 HB 1407 2024 CODING: Words stricken are deletions; words underlined are additions. hb1407-00 Page 2 of 3 F L O R I D A H O U S E O F R E P R E S E N T A T I V E S military installations and ranges, as follows: 26 (a) Avon Park Air Force Range, associated with Highlands, 27 Okeechobee, Osceola, and Polk Counties and Avon Park, Sebring, 28 and Frostproof. 29 (b) Camp Blanding, associated with Clay, Bradford, and 30 Putnam Counties. 31 (c) Eglin Air Force Base and Hurlburt Field, ass ociated 32 with Gulf, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, and Walton Counties and Cinco 33 Bayou, Crestview, Destin, DeFuniak Springs, Fort Walton Beach, 34 Freeport, Laurel Hill, Mary Esther, Niceville, Shalimar, and 35 Valparaiso. 36 (d) Homestead Air Reserve Base, associated with Miami-Dade 37 County and Homestead. 38 (e) Jacksonville Training Range Complex, associated with 39 Lake, Marion, Putnam, and Volusia Counties. 40 (f) MacDill Air Force Base, associated with Tampa. 41 (g) Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Marine Corps Support 42 Facility-Blount Island, and outlying landing field Whitehouse, 43 associated with Jacksonville. 44 (h) Naval Air Station Key West, including various annexes 45 across Boca Chica Key and Key West as well as the Fleming 46 Bay/Patton Water Drop Zone training range used by th e Army 47 Special Forces Underwater Operations School, associated with 48 Monroe County and Key West. 49 (i) Naval Support Activity Orlando, including Bugg Spring 50 HB 1407 2024 CODING: Words stricken are deletions; words underlined are additions. hb1407-00 Page 3 of 3 F L O R I D A H O U S E O F R E P R E S E N T A T I V E S and Naval Ordnance Test Unit, associated with Orange County and 51 Orlando. 52 (j) Naval Support Activit y Panama City, associated with 53 Bay County, Panama City, and Panama City Beach. 54 (k) Naval Air Station Pensacola, associated with Escambia 55 County. 56 (l) Naval Air Station Whiting Field and its outlying 57 landing fields, associated with Santa Rosa and Escambia 58 Counties. 59 (m) Naval Station Mayport, associated with Atlantic Beach 60 and Jacksonville. 61 (n) Patrick Space Force Base and Cape Canaveral Space 62 Force Station, associated with Brevard County and Satellite 63 Beach. 64 (o) Tyndall Air Force Base, associ ated with Bay County and 65 Mexico Beach and Parker. 66 (p) United States Southern Command, associated with Miami -67 Dade County and Doral. 68 Section 2.
