An act relating to the Florida Keys Aqueduct 2
Authority, Monroe County; removing a provision 3
prohibiting the combination of a water system with a 4
sewer system within the geographic boundaries of the 5
authority for purposes of financing; providing an 6
effective date. 7

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 9

Section 1. Paragraph (i) of subsection (9) of section 9 of 11
chapter 76-441, Laws of Florida, is amended to read: 12
Section 9. Powers of the Authority. —In addition and not in 13
limitation of the powers of the Authority, it shall have the 14
following powers: 15
(9) 16
(i) Any sewer systems within the geographic boundaries of 17
the Authority may be combined into a single consolidated system 18
for purposes of financing or of operation and administration or 19
both. However, no water system may be combined with any sewer 20
system for purposes of financing. 21
Section 2. This act shall take eff ect July 1, 2024. 22
