performance data for loan programs seeking state 5
funding; providing requirements for such methods; 6
requiring the department to cr eate performance 7
measurements based on the data collected to determine 8
eligibility of such programs for state funding; 9
providing an effective date. 10

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 12

Section 1. Subsection (5) is added to se ction 381.4018, 14
Florida Statutes, to read: 15
381.4018 Physician workforce assessment and development. — 16
(5)(a) PROGRAM PERFORMANCE AND FUNDING. —The Department of 17
Health shall develop methods to collect performance data for 18
loan programs seeking state fund ing, including, but not limited 19
to, data regarding how the program helps to increase the 20
availability of qualified medical professionals to serve rural 21
and underserved communities in this state. 22
(b) The department shall create performance measurements 23
based on the data collected in order to determine a loan 24
programs' eligibility to receive state funding. 25

Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2024. 26
