2828 Section 1. Subsections (2) through (6) of section 11.13, 15
2929 Florida Statutes, are renumbered as subsectio ns (1) through (5), 16
3030 respectively, and present subsections (1) and (4) of that 17
3131 section are amended to read: 18
3232 11.13 Compensation of members. — 19
3333 (1)(a) The annual salaries of members of the Senate and 20
3434 House of Representatives, payable in 12 equal monthly 21
3535 installments, shall be: 22
3636 1. The President of the Senate and Speaker of the House of 23

5252 (b) Effective July 1, 1986, and each July 1 thereafter, 27
5353 the annual salaries of members of the Senate and House of 28
5454 Representatives shall be adjusted by the average percentage 29
5555 increase in the salaries of state career service employees for 30
5656 the fiscal year just concluded. The Appropriations Committee of 31
5757 each house shall certify to the Office of Legislative Services 32
5858 the average percentage increase in the salaries of state career 33
5959 service employees before July 1 of each year. The Office of 34
6060 Legislative Services shall, as of July 1 of each year, determine 35
6161 the adjusted annual salaries as provided herein. 36
6262 (3)(4) Each member of the Legislature shall be entitled to 37
6363 receive a monthly allowance for intradistrict expenses in an 38
6464 amount set annually by the President of the Senate for members 39
6565 of the Senate and the Speaker of the Hous e of Representatives 40
6666 for members of the House. In setting the amount, the costs of 41
6767 maintaining a legislative district office or offices that 42
6868 provide an appropriate level of constituent services shall be 43
6969 considered. The procedure for disbursement of the mon thly 44
7070 intradistrict expense allowed shall be set from time to time by 45
7171 the Office of Legislative Services, with the approval of the 46
7272 President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of 47
7373 Representatives or their respective designees. Such expenses 48
7474 shall be a proper expense of the Legislature and shall be 49
7575 disbursed from the appropriation for legislative expense. The 50

9191 Section 2. (1) Beginning in fiscal year 2027 -2028, the 54
9292 Legislature shall establish annual salaries for elected officers 55
9393 and judges in the General Appropriations Act as follows: 56
9494 (a) The annual salary for the Governor m ust be at least 57
9595 100 percent of the annual salary established for a Supreme Court 58

9797 (b) The annual salary for the Lieutenant Governor must be 60
9898 at least 95 percent of the annual salary established for the 61
9999 Governor. 62

103103 (d) The annual salary for the Attorney General must be at 66
