Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 8

Section 1. Section 45.022, Florida Statutes, is created to 10
read: 11
45.022 Prohibition on civil actions broug ht by 12
unauthorized aliens. — 13
(1) As used in this section, the term "unauthorized alien" 14
means a person who is unlawfully present in the United States 15
according to the terms of the federal Immigration and 16
Nationality Act, 8 U.S.C. ss. 1101 et seq. The term shall be 17
interpreted consistently with any applicable federal statutes, 18
rules, or regulations. 19
(2) An unauthorized alien may not commence a civil action. 20
Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2025. 21
