2222 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 9

2424 Section 1. Subsection (12) is added to section 1009.53, 11
2525 Florida Statutes, to read: 12
2626 1009.53 Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program. — 13
2727 (12) Each public high school shall establish a Bright 14
2828 Futures Scholarship mentorship program for students enrolled in 15
2929 the school. The mentorship program: 16
3030 (a) Must provide students with access to a certified 17
3131 school counselor. The school counselor shall provide students 18
3232 with information about the eligibility requirements for each 19
3333 Florida Bright Futures Scholarship award and which awards the 20
3434 student is on track to be eligible for. 21
3535 (b) Must include a comprehensive outreach campaign through 22
3636 social media and the school's website. The campaign may include 23
3737 the success stories of students who were awarded a scholarship 24
3838 through the program, application tips, and question and answer 25
