61 | 61 | | Using the information provided, the department shall recognize 36 |
---|
62 | 62 | | those private businesses that demonstrate outstanding recycling 37 |
---|
63 | 63 | | efforts. Notwithstanding any other provision of state or county 38 |
---|
64 | 64 | | law, private businesses, other than certified recovered 39 |
---|
65 | 65 | | materials dealers, shall not be required to report recycling 40 |
---|
66 | 66 | | rates. Cities with less than a population of 2,500 and per 41 |
---|
67 | 67 | | capita taxable value less than $48,000 and cities with a per 42 |
---|
68 | 68 | | capita taxable value less than $30,000 are exempt from the 43 |
---|
69 | 69 | | reporting requirement specified in this s ubsection. 44 |

70 | 70 | | (6) By July 1, 2026, the department shall develop and 45 |
---|
71 | 71 | | implement a comprehensive waste reduction and recycling plan 46 |
---|
72 | 72 | | based on recommendations from the department's "Florida and the 47 |

95 | 95 | | higher shall receive 2 years off of a licensing fee specific to 58 |

97 | 97 | | c. Private businesses shall be encouraged to post a list 60 |
---|
98 | 98 | | of all recyclable materials within close proximity of each 61 |
---|
99 | 99 | | recycling bin at the private business. 62 |
---|
100 | 100 | | d. Private businesses shall be notified and educated about 63 |
---|
101 | 101 | | the program to give all private businesse s a fair opportunity. 64 |

102 | 102 | | (b) Upon implementation of the comprehensive waste 65 |
---|
103 | 103 | | reduction and recycling plan, the department shall publish a 66 |
---|
104 | 104 | | list of all private businesses who have received an incentive 67 |
---|
105 | 105 | | from the program. 68 |
---|
106 | 106 | | Section 2. This act shall take effec t July 1, 2025. 69 |
