An act relating to the Council on the Social Status of 2
Black Men and Boys; amending s. 16.615, F.S.; revising 3
the quorum requirements for the Council on the Social 4
Status of Black Men and Boys to require only nine 5
members for a quorum; authorizing members to appear by 6
communications media technology; providing that 7
members who appear by such technology are conside red 8
present and may be counted toward the quorum 9
requirement; providing an effective date. 10

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 12

Section 1. Subsection (8) of section 16.615, Florida 14
Statutes, is amended to read: 15
16.615 Council on the Social Status of Black Men and 16
Boys.— 17
(8) Nine Eleven of the members of the council constitute a 18
quorum, and an affirmative vote of a majority of the members 19
present is required for final action. Members may appear by 20
communications media tec hnology as defined in s. 120.54(5)(b)2. 21
Members who appear by communications media technology are 22
considered present and may be counted toward the quorum 23
requirement. 24
Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2025. 25
