28	28	Section 1. Paragraph (d) of subsection (4) of section 15
29	29	119.071, Florida Statutes, is amended to read: 16

32	32	(4) AGENCY PERSONNEL INFORMATION. — 19
33	33	(d)1. For purposes of this paragraph, the term: 20
34	34	a. "Home addresses" means the dwelling location at which 21
35	35	an individual resides and includes the physical a ddress, mailing 22
36	36	address, street address, parcel identification number, plot 23
37	37	identification number, legal property description, neighborhood 24

56	56	numbers, and telephone numbers associated with personal 31

59	59	birth, and photographs of active or former sworn law enforcement 34
60	60	personnel or of active or former civilian personnel employed by 35
61	61	a law enforcement agency, including correctional and 36

586	586	exempt from inspection and copying pursuant to this section is 393
587	587	not associated with the property or otherwise displayed in the 394

612	612	6. The exemptions in this paragraph apply to information 407
613	613	held by an agency before, on, or after the effective date of the 408

615	615	7. Information made exempt under this paragraph may be 410
616	616	disclosed pursuant to s. 28.2221 to a title insurer authorized 411
617	617	pursuant to s. 624.401 and its affiliates as defined in s. 412
618	618	624.10; a title insurance agent or title insurance agency as 413
619	619	defined in s. 626.841(1) or (2), respectively; or an attorney 414
620	620	duly admitted to practice law in this state and in good standing 415
621	621	with The Florida Bar. 416
622	622	8. The exempt status of a home address contained in the 417

653	653	decedent's information or unless such removal is otherwise 436
654	654	prohibited by statute or by court order. The written request to 437
655	655	release the removed information upon the death of a protected 438
656	656	party must attach the certified copy of a death certificate or 439
657	657	court order and must be notarized, must confirm the request for 440
658	658	release is due to the death of a protected party, and must 441
659	659	specify the Official Records book and page number, instrume nt 442

661	661	information to be released. A fee may not be charged for the 444
662	662	release of any document pursuant to such request. 445
663	663	Section 2. The Legislature finds that it is a public 446
664	664	necessity that the ho me addresses, telephone numbers, dates of 447

683	683	exempt from s. 119.07(1), Florida Statutes, and s. 24(a), 454
684	684	Article I of the State Constitution. The Legis lature finds that 455
685	685	the release of such personal identifying and location 456
686	686	information poses potential security risks for and allows 457
687	687	unwarranted intrusion into the private lives of such current and 458
688	688	former medical examiners and their family members. Public 459
689	689	availability of such personal identifying and location 460
690	690	information may compromise the ability of such current and 461
691	691	former medical examiners to carry out their public duties and 462
692	692	may disrupt the operation of the medical examiners' offices. The 463
693	693	exemption of such personal identifying and location information 464
694	694	from public records requirements is necessary to protect the 465
695	695	personal privacy and safety of these public servants and their 466
696	696	families. The Legislature finds that the harm that may result 467
697	697	from the release of such personal identifying and location 468
698	698	information outweighs any public benefit that may be derived 469
699	699	from the disclosure of the information. 470
700	700	Section 3. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law. 471
