135- (1) It is unlawful to operate a vessel in a reckless 86

138-disregard for the safety of persons or property at a speed or in 89
139-a manner as to endanger, or likely to endanger, life or limb, or 90

141-operation of a vessel. Reckless operation of a vessel includes, 92
142-but is not limited to, a violation of s. 327.331(6). If a person 93
143-who violates this subsection and the violation: 94
144- (a) Does not result in an accident, the person commits a 95
145-misdemeanor of the second first degree, punishable as provided 96

284+compliance with the mandatory boating safety education 187
285+requirements under this section. This program must: 188
286+ (a) Track any citations resulting in a conviction under 189
287+this section and the disposition of such citations. 190
288+ (b) Send specific notices to each person subject to the 191
289+requirement for mandatory boating safety educatio n. 192
290+ Section 9. Paragraph (a) of subsection (11) of section 193
291+327.73, Florida Statutes, is amended to read: 194
292+ 327.73 Noncriminal infractions. — 195
293+ (11)(a) Court costs that are to be in addition to the 196
294+stated civil penalty shall be imposed by the court in an amount 197
