27 | 27 | | Section 1. Section 316.1922, Florida Statutes, is created 14 |
---|
28 | 28 | | to read: 15 |
---|
29 | 29 | | 316.1922 Dangerous excessive speeding. — 16 |
---|
30 | 30 | | (1) A person commits dangerous e xcessive speeding if he or 17 |
---|
31 | 31 | | she operates a motor vehicle: 18 |
---|
32 | 32 | | (a) In excess of the speed limit by 50 mph or more. 19 |
---|
51 | | - | days or by a fine of $500, or by both a fine and imprisonment. 26 |
---|
52 | | - | (b) Upon a second or subsequent conviction, by 27 |
---|
53 | | - | imprisonment for up to 90 days or by a fine of $1,000, or by 28 |
---|
54 | | - | both such fine and imprisonment. A person convicted of a second 29 |
---|
55 | | - | or subsequent violation of this section that occurs within 5 30 |
---|
56 | | - | years after the date of a prior conviction for a violation of 31 |
---|
57 | | - | this section shall h ave his or her driving privilege revoked for 32 |
---|

68 | | - | may indicate on the traffic citation the time and location of 43 |
---|
69 | | - | the scheduled hearing . The officer and must indicate the 44 |
