parcel identification numbers; creating s. 177.1115, 3
F.S.; requiring the appropriate governing body to 4
issue, within a specified time after the recording of 5
the plat, certain information; providing a penalty; 6
providing an effective date. 7

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 9

Section 1. Section 177.1115, Florida Statutes, is cre ated 11
to read: 12
177.1115 Issuance of address and individual parcel 13
identification numbers after final plat is recorded; penalty. - 14
(1) Within 2 weeks after the recordation of a plat by the 15
circuit court clerk or other recording officer, the appropriate 16
governing body shall issue the street and mailing address, along 17
with the individual parcel identification numbers, as contained 18
in the plat offered for recording pursuant to s. 177.091. 19
(2) If the appropriate governing body does not issue the 20
street and mailing address, along with the individual parcel 21
identification numbers, within the 2 -week period in subsection 22
(1), the building permit fee shall be reduced by 10 percent for 23
each business day that the body fails to issue such information. 24
Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2025. 25
