Subsection (6 ) of section 83.56, Florida 12 Statutes, is renumbered as subsection (7), and a new subsection 13 (6) is added to that section, to read: 14 83.56 Termination of rental agreement. — 15 (6) Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, if the 16 landlord knows or reaso nably should know that the tenant is 17 pregnant or there are children under 18 years of age living in 18 the dwelling unit, the landlord must provide the tenant at least 19 3 months after delivery of a written notice under subsection (2) 20 or subsection (3) to vacat e the premises before bringing an 21 action for possession of the dwelling unit under s. 83.59. 22 Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2025. 23
