106-student achievement that reflect the school's statutory mission 69

128-bear fiduciary responsibility for the Florida Virtual School. 79

140-effective, educationally sound, marketable, and capable of 91
141-sustaining a self-sufficient delivery system through the Florida 92
142-Education Finance Program and other supplemental funding 93
143-sources. 94
144- (c) The board of trustees shall aggressively seek avenues 95
145-to generate revenue to support its future endeavors, and shall 96
146-enter into agreements with d istance learning providers. The 97
147-board of trustees may acquire, enjoy, use, and dispose of 98
148-patents, copyrights, and trademarks and any licenses and other 99
149-rights or interests thereunder or therein. Ownership of all such 100

169-research, and development activities in order to improve 108
170-courseware and services to its students. 109
171- (d) The board of trustees shall be responsible for the 110
172-administration and control of all local school funds derived 111
173-from all activities or sources and shall prescribe the 112
174-principles and policies procedures to be followed in 113
175-administering these funds. 114
176- (e) The Florida Vir tual School may accrue supplemental 115
177-revenue from direct-support organizations and supplemental 116
178-support organizations, which include, but are not limited to, 117
179-alumni associations, foundations, parent -teacher associations, 118
180-and booster associations. The govern ing body of each direct-119
181-support organization and supplemental support organization shall 120
182-recommend the expenditure of moneys collected by the 121
183-organization for the benefit of the school. Such expenditures 122
184-shall be contingent upon the review and approval of the Florida 123
185-Virtual School president and chief executive officer or an 124
186-authorized designee director. The executive director may 125

199-override any proposed expenditure of the organization that would 126
200-violate Florida law or breach sound educational management. 127
201- (f) In accordance with law and rules of the State Board of 128
202-Education, the board of trustees shall administer and maintain 129
203-personnel programs for all employees of the board of trustees 130
204-and the Florida Virtual School. The board of trustees may adopt 131
205-rules, policies, and procedures related to the appointment, 132
206-employment, and removal of personnel. 133
207- 1. The board of trustees shall determine the compensation, 134
208-including salaries and fringe benefits, and other conditions of 135
209-employment for such personnel. 136
210- 2. The board of trustees may establish and maintain a 137
211-personnel loan or exchange program by which persons employed by 138
212-the board of trustees for the Florida Virtual School as academic 139
213-administrative and instructional staff may be loaned to, or 140
214-exchanged with persons employed in like capacities by, public 141
215-agencies either within or without this state, or by private 142
216-industry. With respect to public agency employees, the program 143
217-authorized by this subparagraph shall be consistent with the 144
218-requirements of part II of chapt er 112. The salary and benefits 145
219-of board of trustees personnel participating in the loan or 146
220-exchange program shall be continued during the period of time 147
221-they participate in a loan or exchange program, and such 148
222-personnel shall be deemed to have no break in creditable or 149
223-continuous service or employment during such time. The salary 150

292-credit completions for the Florida Virtual School, according to 195
293-procedures established by the State Board of Education. At a 196
294-minimum, such procedures must include the number of public , 197
295-private, and home education students served by program and by 198
296-county of residence. 199
297- (j)(k) The board of trustees shall provide for the content 200
