5151 company driver, as defined in s. 627.748(1), by making a false 26
5252 statement; displaying counterfeit signage or emble ms of a trade 27
5353 dress, trademark, brand, or logo of a transportation network 28
5454 company; or engaging in any other act that falsely represents 29

5656 is responding to a passenger ride request for a transpor tation 31

5858 (2)(a) Except as provided in paragraph (b), a person who 33
5959 willfully violates subsection (1) commits a misdemeanor of the 34
6060 second degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 35

8989 427.0159 Transportation Disadvantaged Trust Fund. — 52
9090 (5) The commission may expend funds to contract with 53
9191 alternative providers with dedicated vehicles and trained 54
9292 personnel specializing in paratransit services to support 55
9393 transportation services for persons with disabilities. Such 56
9494 entities shall provide specialized transportation services 57
9595 tailored to the specific needs of riders, that comply with 58
9696 service standards as established by the commission, to ensure 59
9797 safe and accessible mobility options. 60
9898 Section 4. Subsection (1) and paragraph (a) of subsection 61
9999 (2) of section 427.02, Florida Statutes , are amended to read: 62
100100 427.02 Paratransit service contracts for transportation 63
101101 service providers.— 64
102102 (1) For purposes of this section, the term "transportation 65
103103 service provider" means an organization or entity that contracts 66
104104 with a local government to provide paratransit service to 67
105105 persons with disabilities using a dedicated fleet of vehicles 68
106106 operated by its employees or directly contracted drivers who 69
107107 meet paratransit service standards. The term does not include a 70
108108 transportation network company as defined in s. 627.748(1) . 71
109109 (2) For contracts entered into or renewed on or after 72
110110 October 1, 2024, a transpo rtation service provider must agree 73
