26	26		s. 427.02, F.S.; revising the definition of the term 13
27	27		"transportation service provider"; requiring 14

32	32		Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 19

34	34		Section 1. Section 316.2021, Florida Statutes, is created 21
35	35		to read: 22
36	36		316.2021 Unlawful impersonation of transportation network 23

38	38		(1) A person may not impersonate a transportation network 25

51	51		company driver, as defined in s. 627.748(1), by making a false 26
52	52		statement; displaying counterfeit signage or emble ms of a trade 27
53	53		dress, trademark, brand, or logo of a transportation network 28
54	54		company; or engaging in any other act that falsely represents 29
55	55		that the person represents a transportation network company or 30
56	56		is responding to a passenger ride request for a transpor tation 31
57	57		network company. 32
58	58		(2)(a) Except as provided in paragraph (b), a person who 33
59	59		willfully violates subsection (1) commits a misdemeanor of the 34
60	60		second degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 35
61	61		775.083. 36
62	62		(b) A person who willfully violates subse ction (1) during 37
63	63		the commission of, or to facilitate the commission of, a 38
64	64		separate felony offense commits a felony of the third degree, 39
65	65		punishable as provided in s. 775.082, s. 775.083, or s. 775.084. 40
66	66		Section 2. Paragraph (d) is added to subsection (2) of 41
67	67		section 341.061, Florida Statutes, to read: 42
68	68		341.061 Transit safety standards; inspections and system 43
69	69		safety reviews.— 44

89	89		427.0159 Transportation Disadvantaged Trust Fund. — 52
90	90		(5) The commission may expend funds to contract with 53
91	91		alternative providers with dedicated vehicles and trained 54
92	92		personnel specializing in paratransit services to support 55
93	93		transportation services for persons with disabilities. Such 56
94	94		entities shall provide specialized transportation services 57
95	95		tailored to the specific needs of riders, that comply with 58
96	96		service standards as established by the commission, to ensure 59
97	97		safe and accessible mobility options. 60
98	98		Section 4. Subsection (1) and paragraph (a) of subsection 61
99	99		(2) of section 427.02, Florida Statutes , are amended to read: 62
100	100		427.02 Paratransit service contracts for transportation 63
101	101		service providers.— 64
102	102		(1) For purposes of this section, the term "transportation 65
103	103		service provider" means an organization or entity that contracts 66
104	104		with a local government to provide paratransit service to 67
105	105		persons with disabilities using a dedicated fleet of vehicles 68
106	106		operated by its employees or directly contracted drivers who 69
107	107		meet paratransit service standards. The term does not include a 70
108	108		transportation network company as defined in s. 627.748(1) . 71
109	109		(2) For contracts entered into or renewed on or after 72
110	110		October 1, 2024, a transpo rtation service provider must agree 73

127	127		minimum, meet meets requirements established by the Agency for 78
128	128		Persons with Disabilities for training and professional 79
