WHEREAS, immigrants from Ukraine have come to the United 5
States for the opportunity to work and prosper in freedom, and 6
WHEREAS, this state is home to more than 58,000 Ukrainian 7
Americans, and 8
WHEREAS, members of the Ukrainian -American community have 9
made a lasting impact on the social and economic fabric of this 10
state, including providing arts and culture entertainment and 11
historic religious institutions and services, and 12
WHEREAS, a cultural staple in Orlando, the Ukrainian 13
Festival is a symbol of community, recognizing this state's 14
ethnic diversity and celebrating the Ukrainian heritage in 15
happiness, peace, and harmony, and 16
WHEREAS, many Ukrainian Americans maintain strong ties to 17
the people of Ukraine and deeply desire peace, justice, and 18
prosperity for their beloved home country, NOW, THEREFORE, 19

That February 15, 2025, is designated as "Ukrainian 24
Festival Day" in the State of Florida. 25
