A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Ms. Nancy Couch; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Ms. Nancy Couch, an alumni of Young Harris College, has been recognized by2
the citizens of this state for the vital leadership roles she has held and her deep personal3
commitment the welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and4
WHEREAS, Ms. Couch was elected President of the Cobb County Republican Women's5
Club (CCRW) in January 2020, which has grown into the largest women's club in the State6
of Georgia, is part of the 65,000 women strong National Federation of Women across the7
United States, and was recognized by the National Federations of Women with a Diamond8
Club Level Award for its accomplishments; and9
WHEREAS, Ms. Couch, a dedicated member of her community, has worked effectively with10
local high school principals and earned accolades for her unique approach in bringing11
students to perform at CCRW events and facilitating interaction with high level elected12
officials and paving students way to a future amenable to conservative causes and civil13
discussion; and14

WHEREAS, under the leadership term of Ms. Couch, the Cobb Republic Women raised and

donated more than $12,000 to benefit multiple organizations, including five student16
scholarships; and17
WHEREAS, as an active participant for the past 20-plus years in the Cobb Republic Women18
and other Georgia-focused policy coalitions, she has played a key role in the development19
of campaign strategy and branding and has hosted many well-attended, highly popular20
events, bringing citizens, candidates, and elected officials together for educational purposes;21
and22
WHEREAS, Ms. Couch has diligently and conscientiously volunteered innumerable hours23
of her time, talents, and energy toward the betterment of her community and state, as24
evidenced by her superlative service with the Cobb County Republican Women; and25
WHEREAS, Ms. Couch has served with honor and distinction with the Cobb County26
Republican Women, and her vision, leadership and unyielding commitment to the Georgia27
Republican Party will be missed upon the occasion of her retirement from the office of28
President; and29
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this30
remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.31
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that32
the members of this body recognize and commend Ms. Nancy Couch for her efficient,33
effective, unselfish, and dedicated service to the State of Georgia; congratulate her upon the34
grand occasion of her retirement as President of the Cobb Republican Women's Club; and35
extend the most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.36

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
