| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Peter Louis Banks has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the3 |

| 13 | 13 | | vital role that he has played in leadership and his deep personal commitment to the welfare4 |

| 14 | 14 | | of the citizens of Georgia; and5 |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, he has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of his time,6 |

| 16 | 16 | | talents, and energy toward the betterment of his community and state, as evidenced7 |

| 17 | 17 | | dramatically by his superlative service as mayor of Barnesville, Georgia; and8 |

| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, prior to his tenure as mayor, he served for four years as part of the Georgia9 |

| 19 | 19 | | State Senate and worked as an attorney for the Georgia Chamber of Commerce; and10 |

| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Peter's significant organizational and leadership talents, remarkable patience11 |

| 21 | 21 | | and diplomacy, keen sense of vision, and sensitivity to the needs of the citizens of this state12 |
