A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Reverend Dr. Joseph L. Williams on the occasion of his 25th

pastoral anniversary; and for other purposes.2
WHEREAS, Reverend Dr. Joseph L. Williams has demonstrated his commitment to teaching3
the Gospel, witnessing Christ through word and deed, and addressing the physical,4
psychological, intellectual, and spiritual needs of others; and5
WHEREAS, as the youngest recipient of the 2004 Morehouse College National Association6
Religious Award, he has demonstrated a commitment to excellence from a young age; today,7
he leads Salem Bible Church as its senior pastor; and8
WHEREAS, his vision and direction have helped Salem Bible Church grow in size and9
influence, uplifting the community like the light of Bethlehem and serving as a spiritual10
leader and place for fellowship; and11
WHEREAS, over the past years leading Salem Bible Church, Reverend Dr. Joseph L.12
Williams has cultivated numerous ministries, including Alpha & Omega, Coaching13
Academy, Hands of Worship, Health & Fitness, Loves & Hugs, Mentoring, Newsletter,14
Outreach, and Substance Abuse Ministries; and15

WHEREAS, with countless accolades that include speaking on the March on Washington

in 2013 to tens of thousands of people, creating his own world-transformational processes,17
and writing a number of personal-help books, he has effectively charted his own course18
beyond the pulpit; and19
WHEREAS, the unmatched spiritual assistance offered by Reverend Dr. Joseph L. Williams20
is a source of strength and direction for persons in all walks of life; and21
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper to recognize the outstanding accomplishments22
of the dynamic Christian ministry of Reverend Dr. Joseph L. Williams.23
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that24
the members of this body recognize and commend Reverend Dr. Joseph L. Williams on the25
wonderful occasion of his 25th pastoral anniversary and extend best wishes for many more26
years of successful fellowship and leadership.27
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized28
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to29
Reverend Dr. Joseph L. Williams.30
