| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Rose was an exceptional student throughout her life and an accomplished5 |

| 12 | 12 | | wrestler, flag football player, cheerleader, dancer, singer, and more at Dunwoody High6 |

| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, following her deep and abiding faith and connection to the Jewish people, Rose8 |

| 15 | 15 | | made Aliyah, the return to Israel afforded to all Jews, after graduating high school in 2021;9 |

| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, in March 2022, Rose enlisted in the Israel Defense Forces, where she became11 |

| 26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, just weeks after the Hamas onslaught, Sergeant Lubin's young life was taken17 |

| 27 | 27 | | much too soon by another terrorist attack near Herod's Gate, one of the entrances to the Old18 |

| 28 | 28 | | City of Jerusalem, where she was stationed; and19 |

| 29 | 29 | | WHEREAS, Sergeant Lubin was an exceptional daughter, step daughter, sibling,20 |

| 30 | 30 | | granddaughter, niece, cousin, student, and friend who was admired and loved by everyone21 |

| 32 | 32 | | WHEREAS, Sergeant Lubin gave her life protecting and defending the Jewish people and23 |

| 33 | 33 | | all Israeli citizens from terrorism; and24 |

| 34 | 34 | | WHEREAS, Sergeant Lubin's sacrifice and memory serves as a reminder of the urgent need25 |

| 35 | 35 | | for peace to prevail in Israel and the surrounding region, where future generations can live26 |

| 36 | 36 | | without the threat of constant conflict. 27 |

| 37 | 37 | | NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body28 |

| 38 | 38 | | honor the life and memory of Sergeant Rose Lubin and extend the deepest and most sincere29 |
