| 15 | 15 | | service in such plan; to provide for related matters; to provide conditions for an effective date5 |

| 16 | 16 | | and automatic repeal; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.6 |

| 17 | 17 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:7 |

| 18 | 18 | | SECTION 1.8 |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Code Section 47-2-101 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to creditable9 |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | service in the Employees Retirement System of Georgia for prior service as member of the10 |

| 21 | 21 | | Georgia Defined Contribution Plan, is amended by revising subsection (a) as follows:11 |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | "(a) A member who was a member of the Georgia Defined Contribution Plan created by12 |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Chapter 22 of this title immediately prior to becoming a member of this retirement system13 |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | shall be entitled to obtain creditable service in this retirement system for all such prior14 |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | service with such Georgia Defined Contribution Plan employer, as well as up to 18 months |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | 15 |

| 32 | 32 | | SECTION 2.19 |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2024, only if it is determined to have been20 |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | concurrently funded as provided in Chapter 20 of Title 47 of the Official Code of Georgia21 |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | Annotated, the "Public Retirement Systems Standards Law"; otherwise, this Act shall not22 |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | become effective and shall be automatically repealed in its entirety on July 1, 2024, as23 |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | required by subsection (a) of Code Section 47-20-50.24 |

| 39 | 39 | | All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.26 |
