A RESOLUTION
Commending Onie Pressley, Columbia Elementary School's 2023-2024 Teacher of the Year;

and for other purposes.2
WHEREAS, nothing is more vital to the future of our state than the education of our young3
people, and Onie Pressley exemplifies the selfless dedication that is characteristic of our4
finest teachers; and5
WHEREAS, Onie Pressley is a highly praised educator at Columbia Elementary School,6
tirelessly directing an extraordinary amount of time and talent toward guiding students to a7
brighter future; and8
WHEREAS, Onie Pressley has earned distinction for teaching excellence as a result of her9
dedication to her students and her profession and has been honored as Columbia Elementary10
School's 2023-2024 Teacher of the Year; and11
WHEREAS, in recognition of such remarkable contributions to the education and welfare12
of Georgia's students, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to honor the13
extraordinary accomplishments and academic achievements of this outstanding educator.14

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that

the members of this body commend Onie Pressley, Columbia Elementary School's16
2023-2024 Teacher of the Year, and express their most sincere best wishes for continued17
success.18
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized19
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Onie20
Pressley.21
