| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Francis Bright Johnson was born on April 17, 1937, the beloved daughter3 |

| 18 | 18 | | of Robert Bryant, Sr., and Rosa Lee Williams; and4 |

| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Johnson was raised in Garden City, Georgia, and graduated from Richard5 |

| 20 | 20 | | Arnold High School; and6 |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, an active leader of her community, Mrs. Johnson was a lifetime member of the7 |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | NAACP, served for ten years as chairperson of the Political Advisory Council, was a8 |

| 23 | 23 | | member of the Chatham County Federation of Democratic Women, and was a member of9 |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | the YMCA and YWCA Executive Board Democratic Forum; and10 |

| 25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Johnson's significant organizational and leadership talents, her remarkable11 |

| 26 | 26 | | patience and diplomacy, her keen sense of vision, and her sensitivity to the needs of the12 |

| 27 | 27 | | citizens of this state earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and associates;13 |
