24 LC 112 2338 House Resolution 1372 By: Representatives Buckner of the 137 th , Hugley of the 141 st , Smith of the 138 th , and Reese of the 140 th A RESOLUTION Congratulating and commending the Muscogee County School District's 2024 Teachers of 1 the Year; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most3 important objective of the General Assembly; and4 WHEREAS, in 1996, a group of committed and devoted citizens organized the Muscogee5 Educational Excellence Foundation, which strives to enhance the quality of education in6 Muscogee County by providing support to teachers; and7 WHEREAS, since its creation, this outstanding foundation has grown into one of the leading8 advocates of excellence in public education in the county; and9 WHEREAS, the following educators are recipients of the foundation's 2024 Teacher of the10 Year award and are deserving of acknowledgment for their exemplary service to the youth11 of Muscogee County: TaKesha Willliams-Lynn, Aaron Cohn Middle School; Karie Tillett,12 Allen Elementary School; James Barnes, Arnold Middle School; Jonas Lonzanida, Baker13 Middle School; Timothy Downes, Blackmon Road Middle School; Katie Buckley, Blanchard14 Elementary School; Roger Redden, Brewer Elementary School; Nicole Hodge, Britt David15 H. R. 1372 - 2 - 24 LC 112 2338 WHEREAS, in recognition of such remarkable contributions to the education and welfare 41 of Georgia's students, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to honor the42 extraordinary accomplishments and academic achievements of these outstanding educators.43 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that44 the members of this body congratulate and commend the Muscogee County School District's45 2024 Teachers of the Year and express their most sincere best wishes for continued success.46 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized47 and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to each48 individual named herein.49 H.
